Mission

The Ministry’s mission is to equip seniors to intentionally pass on a spiritual legacy to the next generations and to help change the worldview of how older adults interact with younger adults and children by understanding what the Bible says about being a parent and grandparent.

Goals

Bridge the generation gap at our church through intergenerational study of the word and sharing of knowledge.

To help seniors disciple their children and grandchildren according to the truths of scripture.

Provide resources and information from the Bible to aid grandparents and parents.

Our purpose is based on:

Deuteronomy 6:4-8 - 4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.”

Psalm 78:5-6 - 5 “He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers to teach to their children, 6 that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children.”

Upcoming Events:

Legacy Builders Mini-conference - May 11th, 9-12p Registration for this free mini-conference will begin on April 28th.

This mini-conference will be to share ideas on how to accomplish what scripture tells us to do. We will have break-out sessions and presentations on what Inter-generational Discipleship means. A presentation is also in the works from an organization called Retirement Reformation.

The mission of this ministry is to equip and disciple the next generation to know and to serve Jesus Christ. This is based on Psalm 71:17-18 "O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deed. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come."
