All of us remember when Dorothy clicked her ruby slippers together and said "there's no place like home..." The home that was my dream is now something out of "Nightmare on Elm Street".
Well we finally moved back home last week only to be hit with the following:
1) the landlords want us to pay them for all repairs
2) they also want us to pay for the new furnace, which was red tagged by Black Hills Energy before we ever moved in last October and we had not signed a lease
3) they want us to pay rent for the 5 months we were displaced
4) they have threatened to evict us if we don't do this
5) they are sending us certified mail new forms agreeing to pay for all this
6) we receive no less than 5-10 phone calls daily from them calling us names, threatening us, etc.
7) they excuse themselves by saying "what do you want from us? We're just part time landlords?"
I could go on and on because everyday is a new and interesting journey with these guys. Everyday I pray for God to show us what to do.
Yesterday's sermon brought me to tears because it hit me where I live....LITERALLY!
But our God knows our enemies. Our God knows our situation. Our God has it all under control.
AMEN AND AMEN!
Please everyone.....please pray for us. I am afraid we are going to have to go to court over this....and I know it won't be pretty or sweet or nice. But our prayer is that God will close our mouths until he gives us permission to speak and then speak only what he gives us permission to say.
