Skate Park Grand Opening at Woodland Park Community Church Gym

April 15, 2009 from 1pm to 4pm

Come join us April 15th from 1-4pm for the grand opening of our new half-pipe skate ramp! The entire community is invited to come and watch a professional skater trick out the new ramp for us all to enjoy.

Are you a member of the church or just visiting?: I have been a member since 2005 when I came here to work as the student pastor.

What type of work do you do?: I work with Middle and High school students teaching them the ways of Jesus

If you are comfortable in sharing..... What is your story of seeking/ knowing Jesus Christ?: I accepted Christ at the age of nine and have ever since been growing in my knowledge of him and the practice of his ways.

List any of your personal interests or hobbies so we can know you better: I am a pilot, snow skiier, white water rafter, backpacker, international travelor and discipler

If married and or have any kids please tell us about them?: I am married to the most beautiful woman in the world. No joke! Also am blessed with three of the best kids ever, each with their own unique personalities. I love my life.

If you are part of our community, what's your favorite thing about our fellowship?: The families we have come to know well and share our life with.

What are you reading?: Just finished Revolution in Missions. Didn't like it all, but overall would recommend

What are you passionate about?: The Kingdom

Just letting you know I would love to talk about helping with the storehouse concept...I know that youth ministry didn't feel right for me right now but this is something where I know that my talents and skills could be used and I too have a heart for helping those in need, I can't do it much financially but I have time. I will say that I am not one to go and find a path but if I have a direction I will run with it. I respect non-profit work and I would love to be a part of supporting them or new ones whether that means behind the scenes or a contact point, organizing or whatever. I look forward to talking to you and I hope this is something that God will support for us. I've seen how the bible records Jesus stopping everything just to hold a child or lift a man to his feet, he found those things vital and so should we.

I think I am going to have to wait on helping with the youth group this season...I have had a lot going on in my life lately, some stuff I have to work through and straighten out in my own life before I can be effective in leading others and feel like I can be used effectively by God. I do want to help out but right now I don't feel like it's the right time to do that. If you would keep me posted on where you find the most holes and where you might need help temporarilly, I would be happy to help as support staff and perhaps more in the future. Thanks,
