Hey Jim and Heather,
Betty Lou Pollock is still living in the Houghton area as far as I know... Interaction Inc.'s office is now located in the Chicago area...Debbie's younger brother attended Houghton, and the current acdemic dean (Ron Mahurin) is a college buddy of mine.
If you do decide to attend the conference there I assume housing, etc. will be taken care of, but if you needed any help along those lines just let us know !

Hi Jim and Heather,
Debbie and I have some close family friends (Dave and Betty Lou Pollock) whose kids attended RVA, and who lived in Kenya for several years (She is a nurse, and he did a lot of TEE work with national pastors). They started a ministry when they returned to the states called "Interaction". The focus of the ministry is on prefield orientation, training for teachers and staff at mission and international schools on the uniqueness of TCK's (Third culture kids- a term I believe Dave coined), and re-entry seminars for kids returning permanently or coming back for college.
The organization is still in existence, although Dave passed away about 2+ years ago. They also used to have a very close asociation with Houghton College in New York state.
We'd love to chat with y'all sometime!

Hi Heather.
Thanks for listing your blog in the missions page and welcome to the conversation. I think there is a place on the main page to put your blog. Check in with Kelley and Steve Leigh because their son's blog for the V-Team is there, and Kelley and Laura Parker's, too. Would be great to see yours alongside and get more people in the loop on your ministry.
