Men's Breakfast at WPCC Commons

Let's "spring" towards Spring with another opportunity to gather as men and sharpen each other "as iron sharpens iron." We will gather on March 7, at 7:30 a.m. in the church Commons for another super breakfast from the staff at Camp Elim plus an encouraging message and, of course, great fellowship as we meet, eat and share our lives. Invite a friend to join you. The cost is just $5.00

If you are comfortable in sharing..... What is your story of seeking/ knowing Jesus Christ?
I came to know Jesus as my Savior when I was 6 years old! After raising some questions in Sunday School my father spent some time explaining the way of salvation. I came to understand that I, like the rest of the human race, was a sinner and deserved to bear the full penalty of my sin. I also came to understand that Jesus took my penalty when He died on the cross. By faith I accepted the free gift of salvation.

In more recent years my desire has been to come to know this Savior in more intimate ways. 1 John 5:20 is a theme verse for my life: "We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true..."
List any of your personal interests or hobbies so we can know you better
I love Christian camping (not in tents, but in cabins with beds)
I enjoy riding bikes and skiing (though I only go skiing about once a year)
I enjoy traveling
If married and or have any kids please tell us about them?
I have been married for 26 years to Teri. We have three daughters:
Katy, who is married to Austin and lives in Iowa
Kindra
Kelli
If you are part of our community, what's your favorite thing about our fellowship?
I love the people and their desire to know, love and serve Jesus! I love the way they live out their Christian lives in honesty and simplicity. I love the music and the teaching!
What are you reading?
"Pursuit of Holiness" and "Is God Really In Control" both by Jerry Bridges and a book on prayer by Jim Cymbala.
What are you passionate about?
Knowing Jesus, My family, Camp Elim
