This class is designed for people who want to learn the Real-Life Discipleship Reproducible Process that we will be using in our small group ministry. Our mission is to grow disciples who will grow disciples who will grow disciples. This training class will guide us all as we work through the issues of how to disciple a person through the stages of spiritual maturity. Weʼll learn the necessary components of disciple-making so that every church member can play a part in reaching others for Christ.
Book of Hebrews

We are continuing our study of the book of Hebrews. The Jewish people of Jesusʼ time had a preconceived idea of what the Messiah should be like and what He would accomplish while on the earth. Unfortunately, they had it all wrong and crucified Him. Hebrews was written to set the record straight as to who Jesus was, and how He was the fulfillment of all that was said of the Messiah in the Old Testament. The class will also address some of our preconceived ideas of Jesus and His Work in us!
Grace Based Parenting

Grace Based Parenting, a video curriculum by Tim Kimmel, shows moms and dads how to love their kids the way God loves His: with grace. Parents will gain a realistic job description for raising spiritually strong children with calm hearts that are full of purpose and hope. Parents can expect to walk away from the experience with a blueprint for building confident, courageous, and cooperative kids. The series helps parents discover how to: Create an atmosphere within their families that automatically brings the best out of everyone; Teach children to navigate their culture, choose better friends, and make wiser choices; Meet the three true needs of children; Liberate their children emotionally and spiritually; Replace fear with fun in their roles as parents; and Keep from investing energy in a long list of things that don’t matter.
Biblical Storytelling

Learn the ancient practice of biblical story-telling. Gain a greater understanding of why Jesus used story-telling as a primary method in His ministry. Learn what it is, why we do it, and how to do it yourself. We will practice story-telling in the class. You will learn how to learn stories without memorizing. You will learn tips and methods that missionaries in oral cultures have taught us. We will cover: How to do a story-telling small group. How it is used in missionary work throughout the world. How to connect your own story with a Bible story. How to follow-up and ask good questions. If you like a good story, you will enjoy this class.
Community 101 (January 29th-February 19th)

Are you new to Community Church? Or have you been attending for a while but desire to get better connected? Then “Community 101” is for you. In this four-week class, you’ll connect with others as you learn more abut WPCC: who we are, why we are, what we believe, how we function, and how to get plugged in. In this process, we desire not only for you to get to know us, but also for us to get to know you.
Financial Peace University (Begins January 29th)

Financial Peace University is a biblically-based accountability class that will teach and train you to manage your resources in a Godly manner. The class is taught by Dave Ramsey, via DVD, the first hour, followed by a small group discussion. Topics include saving money, cash flow, dumping debt and being good managers over the blessings we have been given. The class is 13 weeks. Cost is $100 per family unit. This is a weekly Christ-centered 12 step program. This group is appropriate for all people who feel stuck or paralyzed with addiction, abuse issues, family dysfunction, low self-esteem, divorce, etc.... This is a safe place to find health and wholeness in Christ. Free Childcare is provided. Come check us out!
The importance of Adult Equipping Classes...
Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:11-12,
"And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and
some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints
for
the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ,
until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the
knowledge
of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the
stature
which belongs to the fullness of
Christ."
Paul tells us that Jesus has given to the church certain church leaders, who's job it is to
equip the rest of the body in two areas; 1) so that they might
be
prepared to do works of service and 2) so that they would grow
into
maturity in Christ. At Community Church, we equip others using
our
mission statement as a guideline.
According to the mission of our church,
We desire to be a community that helps people find Jesus Christ and equips them
to
follow and serve.
Our desire is to equip you to follow Jesus as a committed disciple. We want to help you grow
in
your walk with Jesus so that you will have an impact on the
world
around you as you serve. You decide how you need to grow and
then
pick a class that corresponds with that growth
area.
