Our dear friend and prayer warrior, Carol Pollitt, need our prayers. Carol has several viruses that are causing a number of physical problems. She doesn't want us to freak out, but this is more than a cold or the flu. Randy James is treating her, so she is in good hands in that department. She is going to need a lot of rest for at least a couple of weeks. She knows we all care and would appreciate our prayers, but let's keep the phone calls down to a minimum so she can get the rest she needs. You could send her a card at 321 Panther Ct., Woodland Park 80863, or send her an email at ckp4454@msn.com.
Please don't expect her to be doing anything for at least 2-3 weeks. Just pray and let her rest! We'll be seeing to it that meals are provided.

Prayer Requests for the Week of March 8th

Please pray for Carolyn Snider. (For those of you who remember Todd & Sherry Stauffer, this is Sherry's mother). Carolyn developed breast cancer about 18 months ago and underwent treatments, which seemed to prove successful in fighting the breast cancer. However, now the cancer is back in the shoulder, arm and back areas. It has spread and is apparently untreatable. The doctors are giving her "months." They are praying for a miracle, yet are putting it in God's hands.
Pray for Carolyn, her husband Gary, for Sherry and Kimberly (their other daughter). Pray for peace during this very difficult time. Pray for pain relief for Carolyn.

Pray for Dan Olson who is scheduled to have open-heart surgery on March 29th to remove a tumor form his heart. He is having tests this week and next week in preparation for the surgery. Pray for Dan and his wife Lynette for "the peace of Christ to rule in their hearts." (Col. 3:15)

Pray for Nancy Ostrander as she recovers from her thyroid surgery last week. PRAISE- They got all the cancer out and only had to remove half of her thyroid.

Pray for traveling mercies starting Monday night as I travel to Guam to join Margaret and see Chris. Pray for Mimi while she is alone until March 24th.

Please pray for our daughter’s wedding on March 21st. Pray for their marriage. They are both Christians. Pray for safety for all who are traveling here. Pray for Mark and Lindsay as they honeymoon in Thailand.

Adam and Ryan have appointments at National Jewish on April 2nd and April 8th for diagnostic testing for autoimmune disorders. Please pray for extraordinary wisdom and discernment for both diagnosis and treatment. Thank you so much for praying on their behalf.

My mom just had a stroke and my dad had one last year. They can no longer take care of each other. After my mom goes through rehab, we need to make plans to sell their debt-free home and move them. We might possibly move them to Georgia near my sister who is a nurse.

I praise God for the blessing of praise and worship here at WPCC with all of you. I thank God for unexpected income. God will supply our needs according to his riches and glory through Christ Jesus. I pray for unexpected income to meet and exceed the needs of WPCC. I pray for a co-worker, Kay. She had a spot of cancer removed and was very scared. She got out of the hospital but was readmitted on 3.6.10. She has an abscess that needs to be removed as well. She is an older lady. I pray for healing and peace of mind. Thank you for your prayers.

Please pray for a car for the Stanbery family. Alyssa was driving it to church this morning (Sunday, 3/7/10) when the transmission gave out. Since we had only one car, I now have no way to get to work tomorrow.

Prayer for MOPS!

The MOPS ministry here at WPCC ministers to mothers of preschoolers, and serves 65 moms twice a month with breakfast, encouragement, and the love of Christ. Here are a few things to pray for:

We just had a "spa day", with special thanks to a few hard-working steering team members and a generous local community. Praise the Lord that we were able to really love on our moms in a way that hopefully showed the servanthood of Christ. Pray that there is a lasting effect on the moms that do not know Christ personally.

Pray for many hurting moms in our group. We have a few struggling with infertility, a specific request for relationships with extended family, and many marriages that could use prayer. We are praising God that there is a baby now growing in a mother's womb that has been hoped for over the past 18 months. What joys and sorrows we experience in this group.

Thank you for your prayers and support of MOPS.

Thank you, Lord for the improvement in Roy's mother. May she continue to improve and draw close to you during this time.

Also, please pray for Bob & Leslie Dwyer. Some false charges were brought against them seven years ago and were dropped. Now they have resurfaced somehow and Bob and Leslie are going to Denver today to try to straighten things out. Please pray that the right people and the right paprework can be found to clarify this mess.Pray for God's peace to reign in Bob and Leslie's life.

Thank you so much for praying for my mom's pneumonia. She is definitely better. She saw the doctor today, and her chest sounded much better with less congestion.

I praise you God for being good. And for being a healer, a comforter, a source of hope. I need that in my life. We all do. You answer when we pray. I come to you, Father God, to pray for the needs of healing and comfort. There are so many. I am overwhelmed. But nothing is too much for you. I thank you for the 72 others who faithfully pray in this group, and I ask for you help in making our community grow into praying people. You are clearly working among us. Whether we boldly share our names in our requests, or simply call ourselves anonymous, continue to teach us how to share our stories with each other for your glory.

I am pleased to report that Nancy Ostrander went through her surgery just fine. The doctor said he feels they got all of the cancer out in the part of the thyroid they removed. They only had to remove about HALF of the thyroid and not the whole thing. They need to wait for the pathology report to be 100% sure, but all indications are that all the cancer is gone. This is a huge praise! Thanks for your prayers. Please pray for Nancy as she recovers.

Please be praying this morning (Wednesday) for nancy ostrander. She is having surgery to remove the malignant growths on her thyroid. Pray that God's peace would surround her and her family. Her husband Stan and daughter Sarah will be with her today at the hospital. Carol Pollitt and I are going down as well.
