MID TRIP REPORT

Thank you first of all for upholding us during these days in Namibia. We are just beginning the second phase of the mission this weekend. We have a truly special and mature group of ten young people from our Nav ministries in the States. Also we have teamed with eight young African disciples and four Jesus Film team members for 12 days of outreach in the north of Namibia.

Some highlights include hundreds of people viewing the Jesus Film and scores responding to the invitation to receive Christ. Most crowds were poor people from humble shanty town locations standing through cold evenings to view the story of Jesus. We saw the Lord give us several contacts to follow up.

One young man that I stood beside at the film, Michael, wants to follow Christ and we were able to meet several times during the week. I shared the wheel with him over lunch and he made a real effort to connect with our team. He works at a farm supply company 3 hours north of Windhoek.

The team ministered in schools sharing the Gospel and “Choose To Wait” principals of Biblical living. One team found a real connection in an orphanage/ living center for young people.

Erika, one of the team members from 2008 revisited a school we were in last year for a brief 2 hour and found several students she had prayed for over the past year. They immediately recruited her to come teach in their class, which she was happy to do.

It was a joy to have, Lukas, come 45 kilometers from his village to spend two days with me and the team. He came to Christ last year during our outreach. He is being followed up by our dear friends Markus and Fulla who are planting a church among the San (“bushman”) People group.

Now we are in Windhoek and launching into the second phase targeting two campus locations for evangelism. We are joined by 6 additional Namibians and our new point man, Dr. Edward Fynn, for the Discipleship training sessions we will be conducting for the next 2 weeks. We will conclude with the One Day Conference and already have 90 plus registered. Some Navigator staff and friends from Angola, Kenya, and South Africa will be joining us as well.

Do continue to up hold us in these days. We are seeing the vision of multiplying disciples capture hearts right before our eyes.
