I say we talk about where we are in the Baby Step process.

Trish and I were just finishing our third step, when I ventured out into private practice. Unfortunately this has started to cut into our emergency fund, but the freedom we have experienced being debt free is allowing us to survive until the business starts getting up and rolling.

So the Friesema's continue to work on the third step. Yeah!

Way to go Friesema's. We are still working on paying off the car (We're Close) and then the only debt we will have is the mortgage. Then on to Baby Step 3. We have had 2 unexpected events in the last 3 months, which before Dave, would have been emergencies, but Baby Step 1 had it covered. I would encourage all of you to really persevere on the Baby Steps starting with #1. If you do it, it works!! If you don't, it won't!!

Steve & Carol
The Zeller's have complete Step #1.
We have completed 60% of baby step #2... not sure that is possible?
We have completed half of baby step #3... oops, wasn't suppose to start this yet.
We are getting the foundation work done to start baby step #4.... don't think we should be doing this either until we get #2 done????? (Dave's going to put us in time out)
As you can see we've taken the "sampler platter" philosophy so far and we have our reasons, I always did think I was smarter than Dave. I will say in the last 2 weeks Kristin and I have talked about getting really gazelle on the rest of my school loan. Watch out here comes the Gazeller's!

I never was one for linear steps and patience! Go figure!
We completed baby step one quickly and since we sold our house last summer we nearly completed baby step 2. Unfortunately, right after we moved into our new home in WP I took a major hit to my income so we are temporarily stalled. I am woking hard to recover some of the lost income but in my business it can go away quickly but it only grows slowly. I am considering a part time job but there aren't many around so I am focusing on my business and trusting God. The FPU class and Dave's radio program are great for keeping motivated! We are also probably going to sell one of our cars (completely paid for).
Ann and I have completed baby step 1 and are working on step 2.
Well, it's time for the big announcement! The Zeller's are debt free! Got got my tax refund check and we paid off our house! HAHAHA! sorry, that's not true. We did pay off my school loan so we are officially onto baby step #3. We paid off $11,000 in 15 months. The last 4 months we have been paying $1,000 a month.... we tried to get "GaZeller". After some peer pressure we did take a large chunk out of of 3-6 months savings to pay off debt. I know that was backwards, sorry Dave.

I do not write this to be prideful or brag. I write this to encourage us all... it is possible. Stick with the plan and you can do it.

We do need to hear from more of you. So far, it looks like we've only got 3 people working the baby steps. Let's hear the good news... let's encourage each other to stay the course! See you all at Town Hall for Hope Tonight!
