In the Gazette today there is a coupon from TCF Bank for $100 free, when you open a TCF Free Checking account. The offer is only good with the coupon, which is only good until Aug. 30th. The fine print says you have to open the account with at least $25 and cannot have opened any other accounts there in the past 90 days. The $100 will be credited to the account by the next business day following the opening of the account. You can also check it out at www.tcfbank.com or by calling 800-TCF-BANK. To a girl that cuts .25 cent coupons, this sounds pretty good!

WAHOO!!! As of yesterday at 12:30 we are officially out of debt exept for our home! We paid off our car a year early - what a great feeling! I hope all of you guys are still seeing the benefits of FPU and the baby steps. If you've gotten off track this summer, the great thing is that it's easy to get back on and pick up with whatever baby step you're on. Hey, maybe it would be encouraging to share where we're at with the baby steps. What do you'll think? We are now on baby step # 3, 3-6 months expenses saved. How 'bout you?
