There is still time! Even if you can't come eat with us tonight ... please make the effort to come sit in and listen to worship, scripture, and prayer. You can still drop in at 7pm for an hour in the House, and some simple communion.
It'll be worth it!

'Hope to see you there!

I was just re-reading this familiar passage, but thought it was worth speaking it in preparation for meeting in the House tonight.

2 Chronicles 7:14-16

If my people, who are called by my name, will humbe themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the the prayer offered in this place. I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.

Thank you Brenda. I am hoping to attend, I might even be able to get my husband to come too. He's thinking about it.

Heather,
I really hope you can make it! Come join us! Carol is so right it's very relaxed! One of my favorite things is hearing God's word spoken by so many. They just take turns and open their Bibles and share their favorite verses or things that they have been reading, and it's sometimes so cool to hear a theme emerge from the group. or a common truth. The worship is acoustic and easy-going, it's very much just people who love Jesus getting together to take time to pray.

Hi Heather! If you would like to read about the last House of Prayer, click on the "forum" tab at the top of this page, go to Community Stories of Faith, and there was a discussion started after the last one. It will give you some information.

I would love to have you join us on Wednesday. Dinner will begin at 6:00, it's soup, bread, etc. You will not have to sit alone...really. The rest of the night is a time of worship, prayer, scripture etc. You can pray with a group or alone. This is a very relaxed setting where there is absolutely no pressure to read or pray out loud, but you can if you want. It just really is a great time of coming into the presence of the Almighty together.

If you have other questions, feel free to post them here and one of us will respond.

I'm looking forward to having you join us!

I am thinking about attending this event. But, I would like to know more about it. What goes on, what can I expect, things like that. Any additional info for a potential first timer would be appreciated.

It will be great to be in the House again. Would some folks post comments here, please about the impact of the last one. I think the hardest thing to do is get there, and then God meets us and we go from there...Tell others about your experiences, what happens, what it's like, so that we can all read and know about the House of Prayer. Some folks thought that September's was the first one...
